Experts believe U.S. school districts will be hiring more teachers from abroad in order to meet the needs of classrooms across the country. As baby boomers retire and too few qualified candidates take their place, more districts are recruiting teachers from Canada, India, Australia and beyond.
The subjects taught most commonly by foreign teachers? Science and math.
The Los Angeles school district recently hired 115 foreign teachers to fill teaching positions in its k-12 classrooms.
